Cassette ritualist / decisionist / tape alchemist Adam Keith conceived a strange subconscious world when he self-released the first Cubicle cassette on his co-vanity imprint Moontrash in the late second half of 2010. Mr. Keith chooses to translate his private fantasies and deformations of reality into curious audio cassettes of esoteric origins. Voyeur Martyr Mother Fucker, Cubicle's fourth full length release, was made during a period of east to west relocation. The tape is a psychological tunneler; a cryptic crawl with hypnotic moody pulsations, a descent into the abstract and implicit (after the militaristic sensibility of the overview "Dog Food" ("remind them of youth and all the other awful half-truths")).

Between August 20-27, our asexual show room will reproduce. On the night of the 27th, a new nested room will be open for entry / dis-orientation. The inner room will be wired with polyrhythmic cross pulsations of duplicated percussion sources. On its outer wall, video and film makers Chizzy Chizmo, Jeremy Kannapell, Mike Pagano, & Family Visions will create an equally disorienting screening / spectacle of silent movies, which may spill over into other areas of the house (depending on if the newborn Nested Room is benign or malignant). To witness and encourage the conception, there will be solo performances the first Saturday night (August 20) by Jeff Zagers, Dave Stone, Josh Levi, & Rick Weaver. To celebrate the birth of the miniature "fetch", there will be duo performances on the second Saturday (August 27) including Chris Smentkowski, Rick Wilson, Kevin Harris, Joe Raglani, and more to be announced.

Ren Schofield (Age Wave, I Just Live Here Records) & I collaborated during a weekend of "St. Louis Goof" in addition to a couple of aluminum Nashville days. Had a good time editing it last week and the result was surprising: a coherent 46 minute album that covers a lot of ground. Side A sounds like something that would've come out in the early '70s - electronic stream of consciousness - largely driven by analog synth, tape loops, and Apollo drums, on the "beautiful" side of things, until the last ten minutes, which gets "out there" with tapes, organ egg shells, and a couple of phase-heavy 4 track recordings.. Side B employs some "log culture" as well as some heavier frequency territory and ends with a free rock duel smashed analog and digital reverb?

Permanent affliction - permanent alley vision... No drinks spilled.

Cassette comes with Alley Vision cover art of Orbison's very own chaos theory (in theory), couple of inserts, and a link to an additional EP for download.

Those who have experienced Human Host live are aware of the group's ritual of making their words available on lyric sheets. The sheets highlight HH's lyrics (occasional informational pamphlet thrown in) and sport cool illustrations, symbols, panels, monsters - gravitating towards camp, fantasy, comics, surrealism, psychedelia, and cave paintings. Flyers and album art also exhibit the same visual flair - grotesque, mutant lyricism with disorienting, absurdist humor. The text, poetry and illustrations made public thanks to xerography are as striking as the music and performances. Human Host has always transcended operating as a mere band, dabbling in any aesthetic form it chooses. Despite that, no book has been published demonstrating the vital visual and lyrical limb of Human Host. It seems long overdue, so we are pleased to publish Human Host's first book.

Night Burger is solo Noah Anthony, member of Social Junk, Form A Log, and ex-member of the Cum Stains. Noah has cultivated a hybrid sound of noise, drone and dub creating thoughtful / visceral compositions. Noise and rhythm are stacked vertically and spread horizontally to create spatial and slightly alarming tracks. Each side crisply and sonically creates a canvas of strange frequencies, manipulated to induce both intentional and coincidental harmonies / atonality. This particular cassette captures Night Burger's earlier origins, basing the two sides off his first set performed a season or two ago. I am reminded of the brutal trance arrangement of the first track on Social Junk's Born Into It CD. Noah has a wonderful sense of arrangement and timing, and has created a cassette one can "get lost in". The Burger walks alone...

The soundtrack to an abandoned short film, HNY and the Nightburger find themselves faced with a pile of strange synth sounds, which they use to construct atmospheric modal compositions. A unique recording in the Social Junk canon, and as rare as rare can be in their live setting (the Junkers only played this material out once). Storm unsettlings, analogous with grey weather and losing streaks, appropriate for settings decked with candleabras, red wine and broken accordions, and reminiscent of our earlier catalog (Organ Donors, Random Events in a Dying Universe, early Wax & Wane). This is a limited cassette, so please email me if you want a copy. Comes with insert and illustration dealing with the "renewal" theme.

Tinnitustimulus is the cacophonous noise project maintained by Tomas Bennett. Reared in the weird, he sculpts dry rough noise compositions, dynamic wall of noise, ruff stuff for the believers in rough and weird. His track, "Cragged Surface" is the perfect mean time for late night simmering. Fiesta Tomas is the pen name of Party Tom, a Philadelphia socialite whose moves include the eagles claw gleam and the cymbal foot. This time around, el Fiesta Thomas breaths new life into the ole performer in a powder room scribbling two mics in a chip bowl trick. Cassette comes in recycled grocery bag (we try to "do our part") with basement remnants and a one page photo comic. limited to 12 copies.

HC062 - Peasant Goblet Vol. V: Endless Loop compilation 3xcs
alienation and isolation always wins against fun times and good ideas. in this Peasant Goblet you get three singles in one, with no need to rewind. three artists (Needle Gun, Radio Shock, & The Ruined Frame) fill a 30 second loop tape each. Radio Shock plays a wild synth hit with automaton vocals, Needle Gun does a weird drum - vocal - nonsense cut up, and Ruined Frame provides a lethargic ragtime track. In addition to being perfect 30 second endless loop singles, they also make great ringtones/doorbells/alarms/etc. - so give it a try sometime. they come in recycled audio book cases, with a series of drawings in the "Peeping Tom" style.

Log Culture furthers its cause with a new Form A Log cassette bearing the title Logged & Loaded. The Form A Log boys have been jamming some tapes and recording some new "moves". On this particular release we encounter the "Synth Switch" the "Log Slam" and the analog equivalent of "Digital Duck" (pre-discovery). The beat of the log gets a makeover and the grooves don't last too long.

the first in a series of bad ideas executed poorly. this particular edition finds the open sourced band Dinner Music playing a radio direct to cassette and putza runner Roni Papple playing a police scanner direct to cassette. He filmed bits and pieces of the two day event (one Saturday, then another Saturday), catching the chaos of We Are the Seahorses, Radio Shock the calculations of A.M. It includes two songs from the upcoming debut album Pump as well as an instrumental recorded during the tracking for the album. It is limited to 25 copies, of which 18 remain as of 4:24 AM 11/26/08. It has a clever illustration by Nick. It is wrapped in sheet music and lovingly sealed and signed in cursive. humor level - middle of the road.

HC052: The Ruined Frame - Bingo Night Extended EP cs

The Bingo Night cassette is a 65 minute cassette limited to four copies and featuring an extended edit of “Bingo Night”, the first single off the upcoming Ruined Frame full-length CD-R, Breath & Pulse. The cassette also includes the original, 13-second album edit plus a long track where I had a fun time crawling into my Wurlitzer Organ plus a handful of other bizarre, lounge lizard organ travesties. Each copy has an “alternate ending” to the “Bingo Night” edit. They are mixed by hand. They come in white boxes that I added color to make it look brighter.
